Christmas in July 2

Here is another of the Christmas cards that I will be teaching. Start by stamping a sentiment on the bottom of the front of the card..

Next step is to make the corner fold. A trimmer is used to cut along the bottom and one side of the square shape.

Then the corner is folded over to set up the focal corner fold for the card.

A coordinating card stock is applied to both the square shape that was just made and the inside of the card. Then stamp with your choice of images and greetings.

Christmas in July

The weather is hot here but I am thinking Christmas already! I am actually getting ready to teach some classes for some friends who want to make their own Christmas Cards this year.

This card was made using Stampin Up Supplies. The "O" of JOY is made using one of the Holiday ornament framelets. I actually used my Cricut machine to make the "J" and the "Y". (I think Stampin

up has letter dies for this but I don't own them.)

Bakers Twine was wrapped around the top of the ornament and a little piece of the glitter paper used to make the letters was attached to the back of the red card stock.

I used 3 different washi tapes on a scrap of white card stock make the design on the ornament.

Cone flower cards

This is combining my two favorite past times. Card making and gardening! The dies to make this flowers are from Dee's Distinctively dies. I purchased these at Ecstasy Crafts. I have many shades of these flowers in my garden.

Spring Bouqet Birthday Card

We are certainly ready for spring. These tulips were made using the wing from the bird builder punch from stampin up. The definition is added by sponging the edges with similar shade of ink. I really enjoy using stamps and dies designed for one thing and giving them anther purpose.

Another Wedding Card

Isn't this the cutest card?  I was at an Open House at a craft store yesterday .  One of the Make It, Take It cards used this "doily dress".   I needed another wedding card and adapted some other card ideas to come up with this one.

Stone Gate Easel Card

This easel card was made using several different dies.   The stone fence and archway give that country feeling.   The yellow birds,  birdhouse and the clouds in the sky complete that sense of spring in the air.   All these dies were purchased from Ecstasy Crafts.   They are dry embossed for added texture.

The "In my Thoughts" was also purchased from Ecstasy Crafts.   The flower supporting the easel card is one of the Stand Up Helper dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  What a neat way to keep a flat card for mailing but support for the easel.

This is a side view of the easel card.  Very easy to make, thanks to all the dies.

wedding Cards

It is the season for weddings.    This was a card I made using the Sweetheart and Wedding cartridges on my cricut machine.   It was fun trying to match the wedding colors.

This card was made for a co-worker who just got married in Cuba.   I used the Circle Accordion Die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.     I really love the versatility of the dies from this site.
